West Lake Cybersecurity Conference opens in Hangzhou
The 2021 Wes Lake Cybersecurity Conference kicked off inHangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province on April 24, with a focuson the topics of cyber security and digital reform.
The conference is being held at the Hangzhou International ExpoCenter and includes a main forum, 15 sub-forums, an exhibition on cybersecurity and a themed concert.
Themed on "Cybersecurity – the foundation of digitalreform", the three-day annual event has attracted academicians, expertsand scholars, industry elites and government officials to share theirexperience in digital reform.
A dialogue on cyber security has already proved a highlight forthis year. It was attended by four academicians, including Shen Changxiang ofthe Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yin Hao from the Chinese Academy ofSciences, Wang Jian of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the CanadianAcademy of Engineering's Song Liang. They had in-depth discussions on thefields of data security, new smart city development and the industrialInternet.
In addition, industrial insiders and officials were invited tointerpret national standards and policies about cyber security during theevent.
Several white papers on the security index of new types ofintelligent cities and the cyber security of unmanned aerial vehicles have alsobeen released.
The conference, which held its first edition in 2012, has becomea landmark event in China's cyber security sector. This year's edition wasco-sponsored by the Cyberspace Administration of Zhejiang, the Economy andInformation Technology Department of Zhejiang, the Zhejiang ProvincialDepartment of Public Security, the Zhejiang Communications Administration andthe Hangzhou government.
