Dongxin Subdistrict is the location of the new innovation and entrepreneurship hub, as well as the high-tech industry base in Xiazhi District, Hangzhou City. With an area of 7.3 square kilometers, Dongxin Subdistrict encompasses 14 communities and 5 economic cooperatives: Hangyang, Changqingyuan, Fuchunyuan, Xinyanyuan, Santangyuan, Desheng East Village, Qinyuan, Dongxin Garden, Desheng North Garden, Zhongzhou, Santang, Shenjia, Dengta, and Xiwen. The subdistrict had a permanent resident population of 118,576 people in 2010. The economic development is healthy and stable, with the construction of Sanli Times Plaza, Xinghuo Comprehensive Building, and Baicheng Group's 4S car dealership. Fortune 500 company FedEx, the high-tech industry base in Xiazhi District, and the new innovation and entrepreneurship hub of Hangzhou City are situated in Dongxin. Audi, Toyota, and other 4S car dealerships, as well as a Porsche after-sales service center, are also located in the automotive street. The subdistrict achieved a total tax revenue of CNY 245 million from national and local taxes and generated CNY 117 million in local fiscal revenue throughout the year.
